 June 4th 2011 - Dedication for Habitat House #5!

The dedication for the Navarro Habitat House #5 (Address: 300 Gioia Circle) will take place on Saturday, June 4th at 10:00AM. This newest addition to the Gioia Circle neighborhood was built using modern insulation techniques that will significantly bring down utility cost.

A hot dog lunch will be served, and there will be the opportunity to tour the house.

 Eat and Skeet 2011 (Skeet Shoot Fundraiser)

On the weekend of June 17 (Friday evening) and June 18 (Saturday, beginning in the morning) Habitat for Humanity of Navarro County will be holding our First Annual Eat and Skeet Fundraiser.

The event will be hosted at Upland Bird Country. Program as follows:

Friday, June 17, 2011 - 6:30 PM:
- Bar-b-cue dinner at Upland Bird Country
- Live entertainment
- Chance to bid on skeet shooting teams in order to win the grand prize.
- Grand prize is your choice of either a five day, four night stay at Beachfront condo in Port Aransas, or a 5'x8' Cargo Craft Trailer

COST: $25.00 per person (for the BBQ)

Saturday, June 18,2011:
- Skeet Shooting Contest for two-person teams (bring your own gun)
- Targets and 1 box of ammo provided per shooter (12 gauge or 20 gauge only)
- Registration starts at 7:00 am
- Breakfast and lunch provided
- Parent/child teams are allowed

COST: $200.00 per team

Prizes:
- 1st Place: 2 New Shotguns
- 2nd Place: 2 New Gun Cases

SHOOTING TIMES WILL BE DETERMINED IN ORDER OF REGISTRATION

Directions to Upland Bird Country:
- From intersection of I-45 and hwy 287 (Mickeys): Go South on 287 (left) for 3 miles to FM 637 (sign is at the intersection.
- Take a left on FM 637 for 2 miles. Upland entrance sign is on left.
- It is a mile off the road, follow the office signs.
